On Monday, celebrities walked the red carpet for the annual benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, known as the Met Gala.
Each year the dress code tracks to the theme of the show, which this time around was devoted to the six-and-a-half-decade career of the fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who died in 2019.
Look at these photos from the night and then tell us what were your favorite looks? How well do you think the celebrities paid homage to Mr. Lagerfeld? What would you have worn to the party if you were invited? Which costumes do you think “did the most,” which The Times defines as “not necessarily the best, not necessarily the worst, just the most”?
Tell us in the comments, then read the related article to see the 17 looks The Times chose.
Students 13 and older in the United States and Britain, and 16 and older elsewhere, are invited to comment. All comments are moderated by the Learning Network staff, but please keep in mind that once your comment is accepted, it will be made public and may appear in print.
